Hello all,

I am using cisco 2610 and just add a nm1e1r2w with it.
I have the following message when boot

undefined port adapter type x in bay x

I found the specification in cisco that the nm?e series adapter is "not supported" in cisco 2610 but I sometimes see some people in news group are runing nm1e/nm1fe with their 2610 / 2620

I am using ios 12.3(3) (8mb rom --is-m feature pack) and 32mb ram

anyone have idea on it ? Thank you very much

Regards
Alfred.

Hi Alfred

Cisco has the nm-1e1r2w as a valid nm in 3600 series,not 2600.

The only similar card in ANY 2600 series router that I can find is NM-1FE1R2W in the 2691 only.

The nm-1e and nm-1fe are supported by the whole 2600 range.
