Hello,

I am having a problem trying to do a password recovery on 2 cisco 2600 series routers. One is a 2610 and the other is a 2651 model.

I have tried the password receovery steps given by cisco on both routers. On the 2610 router, First thing when I connect with hyper terminal I see the router boot up but I can't type anything. I type the break, ctl+break, nothing. Then I tried the changing the baud rate to 1200 then boot up the router then disconnect hyper terminal then change the baud rate back to 9600 and reconnect. I get the rommon 1> prompt but I can't type anything.

What could be the problem. I have tried playing with the baud rate but nothing. I don't care about the config I actually would like to just reset back to factory defaults if possible.

Thanks for any help
