Hey guys,

I just bought a refurbished 2600 series access router and the power cord was not incluced. The power supply input specs are about 100-120 Volts AC, at a frequency of about 53-60Hz, the same voltage and frequency range as that of just about all house hold appliances.

It turns out that average price range for the cisco brand power cord ranges from around 20-40 bucks, which I think is ridiculous.

....as it turns out the power supply interface is the same as that for a PC power supply.

My question is have any of you guys subsitutted a PC power cord for that of cisco branded power cords? What where the results?

Works fine. Cisco is very proud of all their cords.

thanks cluebird. I actually tested out my theory and powered up the router using the generic PC power cord. It looked fine, but I wanted to make sure.
