Cisco 1721 Router

I have a Cisco 1721 router with IOS Image 12.3 5A. When using SDM (Security Device Manager 2.0) I find that there is no VPN or Firewall option availabe. As far as I can figure out, there is a basic firewall option in place with no incomming changes available. The GUI only allows outbound rules.

States 'read only' and is grey out. Is this telling me that I cannot allow Incoming pass through for things like RDT (port 3389) and VPN (port47).

I guess I may need an IOS upgrade.?.? Amazing considering how much was spent on this box.

It looks like you’ve got yourself a router only. It should allow incoming RDT and VPN provided you don’t use access-list. If you do use access list just allow RDT and VPN.
