cics 4.1 to 7.0 upgrade

customer has a cics w/4.1 s/w, when I power down and pull the 4.1 and insert the 7.0 it just continues to flash,30 minutes,60 minutes,so i put the 4.1 back in and it comes up with a alarm code of 33.so i press clear and all is ok.I try the 7.o again and it continually flashes,whats up?

You need to go to 6.1 first, then it will take 7.0

this is how i'd do it.
with 4.1, power off, power on, do a startup
while applying template power off
replace with 7.0
power on, reprogram from scratch

You are going to have to reprogram but do a System Startup with the 4.1 and as the phone reads APPLYING TEMPLATE unplug the System. Take out the Trunk cards and put in the 7.0 software and power up system. Could take about 30 min or so then do another Startup and set the Template that you want. Then power down the system and add the hardware back in then power up system.
