Hi all,

I have client Outllok98 client connected to an Exchange5.5 server. They have all two mailbox configured. As Exchnage want, there is one primary mailbox and the other are set up in "open additional mailbox". They are able to recieve mail into the two adresses.

My problem is the folowing : The users are unable to select from wich mailbox they will sent the mail. It is alaways going out the primary mailbox.

Additional info : The primary mailbox is a general adress (info@...) and is configured on all the clients.
The secondary is the user's personal mailbox. The user wants to also be able to send from their personal box.

I think it's linked. When deleting a mail from personal mailbox, it's moved into deleted items of the info@... box not the deleteditems folders of the box the mail was comming into.

Last but not least, all the mailbox have two SMTP address definied in the exchange config. The "Set as reply" is froman other domain name for wich my Exchange is NOT the server.

So, sorry for this long quection. I try to be the more detailled possible. Thanks for your help.

you might want to try setting the users up with 2 separate profiles so that they can log intoone or the other depending on which mail they want to check or send from...either that or set the reply address as their personal address instead of the info@ address...if I understood your question correctly it doesn't sound as though Exchange is the problem, it looks like the clients are the issue

Thomass:

If I'm understanding what you want to do, then here's how to get it done:

1 - Within Outlook on each PC, open up a new message window.
2 - Click on View -> 'From Field'.

Now users will be able to select their personal account in the From field and send mail as their own account.

Hope this helps!
