check my template's coding?

Hi all,
I've started to build a site. I put a navigation bar on the lead page

I tried to duplicate the navigation bar onto a template, but the whole page moves down a couple pixels!

I'm not strong with coding and I'm pretty puzzled as to why this is happening!
If someone could spot the problem, I'd appreciate it.
(The "About Us" link is the only one active right now.
