Hi All,

I don't know what's wrong with me today but my brain is fried ;)

I have what seems like a very simple problem but can't seem think of a way to do it.

I have a cell with a list of numbers

1,2,6,7,8

and I want to check if 6 is in this list, and that's it. Kinda like a lookup on a single cell or use the Excel equivalent of INSTR but can't find one.

This has to be a formulae solution no VBA, any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

A,

look at the FIND function

[Blue]Blue[/Blue] [Dragon]

If I wasn't Blue, I would just be a Dragon...

Thanks bluegragon I found the 'SEARCH' function which was exactly what i needed, I don't know what's up with me today.
