Hi

My friend tried to run defrag on one of the 3 partitions on his hard drive. He got a message that said that he needed to run Check Disk first.

He selected Check Disk and rebooted the computer.
When it restarted check disk came up and did it's thing, it didn’t report any errors.

The problem is that it now does it everytime he starts the computer it won't let you escape and it still won't let him defrag the partition.

The drive is partitioned into 3 partitions and the other 2 work fine, as does this one as far as functionality is concerned.

Anyone have any idea how he can get it to stop running Check Disk on this partition evertime it boots?

There is plenty of free space on the partition, my only thought was to move everything off the partition and format it, but if there is a simple answer I would be glad to hear it.

Any suggestion apreicated…

Mike
