Cheap and reliable hosting

Does anyone know where I can get CHEAP and RELIABLE (reliability is very important) ColdFusion hosting? I have signed up with CFM-Resources, but I guess the saying "you get what you pay for" really applies. Their server has been down since I signed up several days ago. It would also be good if the host allowed more than one domain per account.

That saying is very true. My company provides reliable CF hosting but I don't know if you would consider our rates cheap. Our CF hosting package runs $49.95/month but I can assure you there won't be any headaches We don't charge for additional domain names (within reason) so you can point multiple domains to the same site.

Can I check out your company's web site? What I want to do is have multiple domains "share" the hosting package. In other words, it would be pointless to pay another $50/month for a web site that doesn't generate that much bandwidth. Therefore, if I could have two domains running on the same account (even if it incurred a smallfee), it would be very beneficial. CFX Hosting provides this service, but I've already had a bad experience with them.

although it's not real representative of us at the moment. We've had a technical writer re-structure all of our content a year ago but we've been so swamped that I haven't even had time to put it out there If you want to check out sites we host, just start at 130.205.149.65 and go up. Few of them are all CF driven except for

which is almost all CF and does about 250,000 raw hits a month so it's a good cf comparison. As far as your domain issue goes, I'd need to talk with you to find out the specifics of what you need but I don't think it would be a problem. Being small, we can sometimes bend the rules where it makes sense.

Do you allow unrestricted CF development? In other words, custom tags folder, CFX tags, RDS, CFFILE, CFDIRECTORY, access to the administrator, COM objects, etc.

Hey Ryan,

We're not a mass market hosting service so we know all of our developers and thus can allow unrestricted access to tags and such. I do screen any custom components such as ocx's, custom tags, etc.. that have to be installed. There are some components I will decline if I feel like they would potentially affect server stability. If I didn't, we'd be like the other big name hosting firms where the servers are lucky to go a week without a reboot. We usually go six months or longer without a reboot which I feel is pretty good considering the load we handle and the amount of cf developers we have.
