Hi I am using crystal reports version 10 that comes with VS 2005 and have created a chart based on crosstab data. The chart is displaying what I want (5 seperate piecharts (one for each location)). Each pie chart just displays a corresponding string for 5 different categories. The problem is that in some cases the labels on the chart for each section tend to overwrite eachother when several of the sections are very close together. I was just wondering if there is a way to move these labels to any desired location? I reduced the size of the font which did help some.

In design mode right click the column label.
->Chart Options -> Selected Item

This opens a formatting window where you can change font and rotation.

You may get mileage out of the option to put the labels on the "sides" of the chart.

Chart Options > Data Labels > Labels on sides

However, you may still get some overlap.

You can sometimes move the labels a bit. However, you can't move them much. And, the exact amount by which you can move them seems to vary randomly (or, at least, I haven't found a pattern).

thanks for the information. It looks like you do not have complete control where to place the labels but can use the different options to move them to clear areas and adjusting the font.
