Hi,

I was thinking of changing users over from Administrators to Power Users. I tried this on a couple desktops though and then the users could not open Outlook and got errors opening other MS apps like Word (this is W2K & Office XP with the latest service packs).

I added the domain users to the Power Users group and then removed them from the Administrators group.

Did I miss a step? I logged on/off, do I need to reboot instead.

Thanks,
Peter

Can you give me more details on how to check that Matt? In Word->Tools->Options, then the Security Tab?

Peter

You can explore into C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\WinWord.exe, edit the security tab on that, and that will affect only Word. You can affect the whole Office suite thru the Office directory security tab...

Thanks,
