All,

Were running an S8700, suppling data to CMS. If the time of day is changed, during business hours, will that hose anything up in CMS?

Thank You in Advance.

Yes, CMS time on the ACD that changed times will skew the reports to the different time.

Example: If it was 4:00pm and the time accidentally changed to 6:00pm. Stats would show up at 6:00pm. If you changed the time back to 4:00pm, the stats at 6:00pm would stay. 4:00pm stats would be wrong as some of that data would be written to 6:00pm etc.. Then the 6:00pm data would be off as some of it happened at 4:00pm. Totals would be the same.

I know this from experience, I had an s8700 interchange and the B server had a completely different time. I corrected it some 2 hours later... jacked up reports were the results.

If possible, wait until the call center closes, then change the time back. In the example above no stats would be recorded between the times.

I hope this made sense.

Thanks,

Wildcard
