Changing the phone set from M2616 to M2216

There is a phone M2616 in the security office that needs to be replaced.
We don't have M2616 sets left we do though have M2216 sets.
Can we put the M2216 by rebuilding it by just changing the type of set and it will work?

You have to out the 2616 programming and build it new as the 2216.

will it be the same programming as 2616?

The programming will be the same, 0-15 keys. It is not going to work as a speaker phone though, prolly should make sure they know that.

2216 sets were designed for Call Centers, hence no cradle for the handset. u can add it, but i would not use it long term.
