I currently cofigured my server as a domain and was wanting to change the servers name, though because it is set up a domain I cant change this how can I get round this? To do this I think I need to remove the domain, but Im not sure how to do this. Any ideas?

Do you have any other Domain Controllers? If so, you're OK. Demote the Server by running DCPROMO, change the name and repromote it. The other DC's will replicate all AD back into it. If you only have one, I would do a system state backup, to back up AD. Then demote it, rename it, and do a Directory Services Restore,
Thanks,
