Hi All,

Any ideas how to change the path that sql plus auto picks up for starting e.g. @ script?

Cheers

Sam

Sammy,

Presuming that you are using some version of Windows, just do the following:

1) Right-click on any icon that invokes SQL*Plus.
2) Left-click "Properties"
3) Modify the "Start-In" path to whatever you want for your new default directory for both SQL*Plus "saves" and for "@<script>" originations.

Let us know that this solved your need.

unix - export SQLPATH=/the_path;/the_other_paths
windows - create an environment variable with SQLPATH

Well done, dbtoo, Have a star !

Santa, you are too kind at this time of year! I do not take credit for obtaining the knowledge, just for passing it on!

Just because it struck me:

Unix - export SQLPATH=/the_path:[/color red]/the_other_paths

ie, a colon rather than a semi-colon.
