If I try and change my pagefile in ANY way, ie set it to a custom size, turn it off totally, set it so XP manages it I get a BSOD and need to re-boot. why?
The computer itself is running fine, no wierd hiccups, a stable, clean good-condition disk (WD 80Gig 8Meg cache).
I open the control panel, open the System applet, goto Advanced, click on Performance, click on the button to bring up the pagefile setings, then I change the pagefile settings, click "Set" and then when I click OK to close the dialog box XP gives me a BSOD mentioning the file "cleanpnp.sys".
and like I said, this occurs on ANY change I make to the swap file (currently I have the swap file set to a set size).
Any help would be appreicated, because something somewhere is screwy with my machine, and I don't like that.
Thanks.
