our user directory currently has all the user directories share permissions set to everyone 'full control'. is there anyway of changing the share permissions on ALL folders within the users directory to just the user with change permission. going through each individual folder is very tedious.

changing multiple share permisions

I would suggest using NTFS permissions, leaving share at full control. You can set the NTFS permissions using the CACLS command. You will be able to script this to speed things up.
