Can Maid Status Codes be customized? I suspect not, but if it can I'd like to know how to do it.

Of the available codes, we only use 4 of them. The Housekeeping Department has asked if some of the unused ones could be modified to signify different information.

Current:
1 - MAID PRESENT
2 - CLEAN
3 - NOT CLEAN
4 - OUT OF SERVICE
5 - TO BE INSPECTED
6 - OCCUPIED/CLEAN
7 - OCCUPIED/NOT CLEAN
8 - VACANT/CLEAN
9 - VACANT/NOT CLEAN

Modified:
1 - MAID PRESENT
2 - CLEAN
3 - NOT CLEAN
4 - OUT OF SERVICE
5 - TO BE INSPECTED
6 - BOTTLED WATER CONSUMED = 1
7 - BOTTLED WATER CONSUMED = 2
8 - TOWEL/WASHCLOTH MISSING
9 - VACANT/NOT CLEAN

I don't have much experience with PMS integrations, but I'm pretty sure the PBX is just sending the value and what it means is up to the PMS. So any customization of the codes would have to be done in the PMS system.

We have a 3300 running v6 software and talking to a Micros Opera PMS.

So, IF Opera allows customization, then all we'd need to do is pick which currently unused status codes Housekeeping wants to use that Micros would need to relabel. Yeah, that may be the ticket.

Thanks.

The Mitel will send the code, ANY code from 1 to 9.

The interpretation of said digit is entirely up to the PMS vendor.

There is no need for customization on the 3300, it is already doing as requested.

Thanks, this is what I needed to know.
