Within W2K you can change a local Administrative password on a member server if you are a member of a global group that is added to the local Administrators group (i.e. Domain Admins)by using Computer Management.

I was wondering if the same functionality exisits within NT 4.0 in an environment that does not contain any W2K machines.

My understanding is that you must logon locally to the server and use the local User Manager to change the password within NT regardless of whether you are a Domain Admin or any other user. Is this correct?

Thank you in advance for any help.

You can do this remotely. Open user manager for domains, from the user menu, click select domain, for Domain type \\servername
