Afternoon All,

We have had a request for one of our customers who would like to change the provider for their ISDN service.

I'm just checking what implications this could have for the user. I imagine that there would be a cutover period of no ISDN to the site but once the service comes back on, it would all be as is?

Is anyone able to confirm this or tell mw if changing providers may limit the functionality?

Any help appreciated, or if I should just consult the service provider?

Cheers, Justin

The main thing we encounter is how many digits the provider will send you.
e.g. Telstra may send you 8 digit whereas Optus might send 10. You would need to make sure your trunk attributes absorb the correct amount of digits, this may also affect how your outgoing numbers display.

Other than that the protocol in Australia is pretty much the same from an ISDN perspective.
Changeover can depend, can be anything from 15min to ....??
