all the documents are on avaya.support.com , .......or where do you intend to start ?....is it loaded on sys platform or an .ova , im really sorry but this is not a free training center , tell us what you have done what you are going to try what your platforms are and you will probably get some assistance ...... think i take my bmw 3 series m sport(very proud of the car) into the bmw garage and say show me how to service , setup new features on the control mod and reset the service counter ..... we as engineers need to protect our income and jobs .... i have to say you seem like you are after free training
I have read through all the documentation on Avaya's support site, and NONE of it shows you how to change the IP addresses is the proper sequence. Some of the other forums say you need to change it in vi editor, and some say through he web interface.
NO I am not looking for free training, just the means/process for a one-time move of my AES.
It is a system platform
so back up the aes users and security reinstall on platform and re-ip.... there are other methods but im really sorry i simply domt believe you have read the docs that are relevant to you.... maybe someone else will help
Look in the Maintenance guide under Chapter 8 for AES. There are instructions on how to do this on stand alone servers. Also notice that 6.3.3 and certain versions of VSP are compatible with each other -- this means that usually (not always) you can change the IP from the web interface.
I would start by changing it from System Platform's web interface under Network Configuration, then check to see if AES took it. If not, then do the manual steps in the instructions for the bundled server. Make sure you back up everything before you start in case you need to reload the template.
