In the dial plan, number 2 is set to extension under the four digit column. I need to change this to misc to limit the extensions to a second digit of 0. When I try and change the plan to misc, it states there is already an assignment and extensions need to be removed first. Is there a way to accomplish this.

Like to temporarily reassign all of the extensions to a different block of numbers, change the dial plan, and then move them back.

You will have to remove everything assigned as 2xxx before you can change it. Unless you have a pressing need to only have DN's 20xx, or you have to have a FAC or DAC under 2, why change it? Looks like you got into more than you bargined for!

We are in an area that has 2 area codes. Normally requires 10 digit dialing. Most numbers are in the 503 area code. They want to do 7 digit dialing, so I set up a routing to outpulse 503 when dialing 7 digits. I need to clear as many unused things out of the dial plan to do this.

You are right about getting into more than I bargained for! It was supposed to be a prologix with audix that had been defaulted and new passwords. Simple 20 station did off pri and regular VM accounts. Nope!! Switch and audix had all of the old programming and passwords. Wanted 60 stations with hunt groups, AA, complicated ARS, etc....

Not sure why any of that has anything to do with your dialplan. Outpulsing 10 digits when dialing 7 should all be handeled under you ars table.
