Changing default page from ASP to HTML problem

I changed my default page from a ASP file to a HTML file. I discovered problems with the HTML file, so decided to rollback to the original ASP file. This is the only change I made, and now my web site doesn't display the default page. What did I do wrong?

I'm an IIS neophyte, so speak slowly.

Thanks,

Is the ASP page listed in the documents file in the default web site properties? Is it at the top of the list?
Can you browse the page (right click on it and browse)?

Yes on both questions. I did solve my problem, but didn't get an answer to my question. Using the "BACKUP/RESTORE CONFIGURATION" when you right-click the server name, I restored the schema to what it was prior to me messing with it. Then I edited the ASP page and made the changes on it, rather than trying to convert to an HTML page. I'd still like to know what I did, but I suspect it had something to do with child nodes associated with the ASP page.

Thanks,
Don
