I recently installed Outlook 2000, using a CD I got from Gateway in the UK, which came with a new computer. I had been running Outlook Express. Now the date format in my inbox and other folders is in the European format (day/month/year) and I would like to change it to the US format (month/day/year), but have not figured out how to do it. Any suggestions?

The feature described in this Help topic is only available if support for an appropriate language is enabled through Microsoft Office Language Settings. Make sure the US language is enabled.

You can enter a year according to either the Western calendar or the other calendar in any date entry box in the Calendar, regardless of the date display format.

For example, if the date display format is set to the Japanese calendar and you type 1997/2/20 in a date-input box, 9220 will be displayed.

You can enter a time by using the characters that indicate A.M. or P.M., or in the hh:mm format in any time-input box. For example, if you enter 220, 14:20 will be displayed.
