Hello,

I seem to be missing something about attachments.

I receive an e-mail with an excel spreadsheet attachment.

I open the attachment and make changes, save the spreadsheet and exit excel.

When I forward the e-mail the spreadsheet that gets sent does not have the changes.

What is the proper procedure for changing and forwarding attachments.

Thanks

Raney

When you forward a mail message, you are resending, exactly what you received (with some text added in the body). To do what you want:

1. Receive Excel attachment
2. Edit Excel file
3. Still in Excel - File, Save As, name the file and save it wherever is convienient (desktop, my documents, whatever)
4. Now, you have 2 choices here:
A. Create a new e-mail and attach your new Excel file
B. Forward the original e-mail, but delete the original Excel file and attach your new file.

Hope that helps.
