changing a T-1 to a PRI on a MICS 7.1 4

can any one give me a step by step on how to change a t-1 to a PRI t-1. I have the key codes and am waiting for the lec to let me know when they are ready. This is my first PRI, I've asked two others for direction but got two different answers. this is a MICS 7.1 with an existing 24 chanel T1

all 24 chanels are in line pool A and are two way DID (DID DOD)No the key codes have not been entered as of yet.

I read the FAQ-799 and it doesn't say anything about not provisioning chanel 24 because that is the D chanel so I know that there is needed information missing from these instructions. I'm hoping someone has a complete list of how to convert from a T-1 to a PRI T-1. it only takes one missing programing step and presto it doesn't work.

Wrong post. Look at jeter's post. When you change it to PRI, channel 24 is not an option to provision because it is the D channel. Again, look at jeter's post for the answer.

But if you follow FAQ799-1646: How to setup PRI
It will get you going the only difference is with 7.1 your line will start higher. As far as the D-channel that was the example section after step 5 (your provider should be able to give you the information you'll need). Once you set the card for PRI channel 24 automatically turns into a D-channel.

Make SURE with the telco that 24 is your d chan. They don't always put it there, even though it's "standard".
