I know this should be a simple solution but i am stumped. We have a user who recently go married so she is now going to hyphenate her name (Mary Jones Smith). I renamed her account in ADUC to reflect the changes and gave AD about 10 minutes to replicate the changes. When i send her and email using the GAL i see the changes with her new last name. However i had her send a test email to one of my outside email accounts and it still shows up as coming from Mary Jones in the "FROM" field. When she sent me the email she also CC'd herself and i see it say Mary Jones Smith. Just not in the initial "FROM" field.

What am I missing? Did i forget an area to change the name?

Delete her local profile and recreate.

Will do, also do you know if i add an accent to her name (á) and email address will that in any way affect her getting emails?

lander215 , thanx for the help. It worked. I never would have thought to remove the local exchange profile from outlook and re create. thanx again.

PS: I would advice AGAINST using accents, some servers and/or firewall do not accept those!

marcs41, thank you for the help as well. That is what i was worried about. I figured that perhaps some systems would not be able to recognize or otherwise have issues with that. Thank you for verifying.

Not a problem, just so happened I ran into the same exact issue just yesterday! Good timing. ;-)

I'm with Marc...wouldn't use special characters.
