I do not do this regularly so I cannot remember what LD?
REQ = CHG
Type = NAME
and so on.

Thanks in advance

When changing the name - Try putting a (comma) between first and last name. This will eliminate the old name from be attached to the changed name.

i've never used that comma.. i know ,, gives you comma space, but we use the format frist last and return thru the display format fields

Note: much more efficient to delete and re-enter the name than to change it. Changing some times comes up with strange name configurations.

Go to LD 95

if the new name is shorter a chg works, if your using static mem allocation for names, change will work.. i always out the new..

By inserting a comma, you will not come up with a strange name even if the orginal name was longer.

nortel core training in 78 may have been a little different then it is now..
