Change watermakr to "Draft" in printer settings for MSWord2K, Nothing!

Hi, we've been using Word 2002 and I've never had any luck using the watermark "Draft". It looks fine on screen and in Print Preview but when I send it to print (to a Lexmark or a Lanier printer), I get variations of the word but never the whole thing. (ie, I get R FT or DR F or something like that). I'd be glad to know if anyone knows why or how to fix it. It would be handy to use but at the moment, it looks like the typist is too dumb to spell DRAFT properly, which is not the case.
