Everytime I view a folder on the Desktop in XP(Home), by double clicking in the Desktop Icons the files contained in the folder show up as 'Tiles' and I have to change the 'View'on the toolbar to 'Icons'.
I prefer 'Icons' to 'Tiles' and it's the only way to see all, or most of, the files contained in the folder.
Does anyone know how I can make the 'View' function, when I double click on the Folder, go to 'Icons' by default. It is apparently set to show 'Tiles' by default at the moment?
I suppose it could be just the way XP works but I'm sure there must be a way to change it to 'Icons'by default if only you know how?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys and gals.

In Explorer, set the current highlighted folder to exacty the view you want. Then Tools, Folder Options, View, Apply to all folders.
