I have a very dumb question but thought I would ask before I begin the task. My database needs to have the table names changed to meet the Access naming convention based on a request from our IS area since the dbase is going to be expanded corporatly.

So, question is, Is there something in Access that will allow me to change the name of a table and have it update the table name on any query built with the old name?

As smart as Access is, and since I am not an expert on Access, thought I would ask the question.

You may try something like this:
1) rename TableName to NewName
2) create a saved query named TableName:
SELECT * FROM NewName

Hope This Helps, PH.
