Hi,

i need to change the spelling dictionary to UK as it is currently set to USA and causing problems. The other problem is that i have to do it on 400 computers!

Does anyone know of a registry key I can modify and send out during logon.

thanks in adavnce

You set this from the menu
"Tools" -> "Options" ... select "Spelling" tab and change the dictionary as required.

To push this change to 400 users will require a "push" strategy. For example, SMS, WinBatch. Most larger businesses will have a standard desktop (and 400 desktops is large). This is a change to the standard.

Talk to the person responsible for the desktop at your place of work.

Regarding the registry entry. This may depend on your system, so perhaps you can find out the entry yourself. Change the dictionary to something unique and search the registry -- hopefully there will be a text entry in the registry and not just a code page.

Sorry, with my current environment I can not provide more specifics on the registry.

Thanks for the help.

We use GPO to control desktops but there is no easy way to configure Access this way.
I have scanned the registry but yet to find the key.

I think I might try creating an MSI of the change.

Cheers,

Mick
