change printer ip address

Hi we are changing a site from ip address 192.168.1 to 172.x.x.x. We do not use a print server.

We are going to set the printers ip on the hp jet directs by manually going to them.

My question is...is there way to push out the new ip to the already install printers on Windows XP. Can I do this through AD, a script or bat file.

Any good way of doing this...or an idea you may suggest.

The only way to alter settings on the JetDirect cards, that I know of, is with the HP JetAdmin software. You can't really automate it, but it does allow you to see them all at once and remotely change things like IP.
It's a free download from their site.

Hi maybe I worded my questions wrong. I want to change windows xp Printer IP without having to go to the computer.

I will be making changing on the jet direct manually.
