Change Phone number format

Hi everyone

I have table with over 100000 records. The phone number field with was entered in diferent formats, either using a hyphen in between or without a hypen.

example
1234567
and
123-4567

I want to make them all the same. I want to put a hyphen to the records that do not a hyphen in between.Is there a way to do it thru a query

I have always felt that display data, parens around the area code and dashes in the number, didn't belong in the table. Just the numbers should be in the database and then the form or query should deal with the formatting.
