How do you change the opacity of a fill or stroke in Illustrator 8.0? I can't find anything describing how to do this. Thanks,

change opacity in Illustrator 8

AI 8 has no transparancy funcionality. You can either hold the shift key while moving one of your color sliders to force the other sliders to move proportionately, or make a spot color out of your swatch (double-click, choose spot color) and then back off on its percentage to lighten it up. I'd buy a Mac if I could afford one.
