HI

I need to change the "number of call records" in CMS set up from 0 to the max 5000. Is there any other implication on doing this that I need to be aware of, eg, effect on storage volumes?

Cheers

In order to make any changes to the Data Storage Allocation (DSA) you will need to turn off Data Collection for every ACD on the CMS and put the application in Single-User Mode. Print the screen before making any changes. After you are done, put the CMS back in Multi-User Mode, turn on Data Collection for every ACD and make sure the links re-establish. Check the Free Space Allocation and increase it if necessary.

Thanks 4merAvaya. Didn't know to turn off Data Collection.

I plan to do this out of hours from home using the CMS Supervisor software. Is this ok, or should I be at the console?

I would recommmend doing it from the console. If you put the server in Single User mode and your connection drops, you will have a hard time getting back in to restart CMS.
