I need to change netware6 sp3(master) server with a new one. In the same tree there are also 2 netware6 servers (secondary).
There is a way to replace master server with a new one, but I very useful to maintain the same NAME of this new server.

use the migration wizard
make sure it's the new one NOT the one from cd
big improvement over last version

Since you have other netware boxesin your tree I would strongly suggest that you ensure the other server(s) have at least one replica of ALL the partitions in your tree (assuming you ahve any partitions). That way if you do an upgrade and loose the server you have not lost the NDS.

Like Terry said, download the migration wizard from novell. You will setup the new server with a generic name in a generic tree. The wizard will then move everything over from the old server to the new server. The old server will be brought down and the new server will appear with the old servers identity.
