Hi everyone,

My teacher asked me this question.

You have drawn a diagonal line (a rule) and wish to change its position by moving both its endpoints--but without using the mouse. When you select 'Item - Modify'it gives you an endpoint, an angle and a length. How do you change 'Modify' so that it shows you two endpoints?

Hope I'm not subverting a final exam or something...

You can use the pull-down menu on the palette to select "endpoints", then set them by typing in the position.

I usually leave things on centerpoint, though, since straightening an angle is more usual for me.

To do this truly "mouse free" you would have to get into the measurements palette (cmd opt m) and tab or shift tab to get to the right fields. (I don't think you can change the pull-down without a mouse though.)
