Change IP address of 5.5 server 1

We are creating vlans and will be moving the exchange server into a vlan and will change the ip address. Will this effect anything?

It will affect some stuff, unless it's used for internal mail only. If you've got DNS MX records pointing to it, that would need to be changed. If you've got any connectors to other servers or the outside world, it will affect those. Clients should be largely unaffected as Outlook will simply see the new name in WINS/DNS. If you've got any port forwarding on firewalls or external routers, those will need to be updated.
