Hello All

Implementing 1xP Mobile so need to change the hostname of the server to actual FQDN's

Using port :7071 to access, setting > system > Network > Host Name:
On change the value and pressing save. The section flashes then dose nothing.
Going out and back into the setting > system > Network the old value is present.
On a reboot the old value is still present an has not been changed.

Has anyone tried changing the system hostname?

I could change it manually in the linux config files however I don’t know if Avaya have it set anywhere else.

Thanks

Be aware that changing the hostname will change the hardware ID (not sure on bare metal server)
So you could end up without valid licenses!

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I am fully aware its going to chagne the hardware ID :(
It is on a virtal server.

Give me a phisical box any day, we would then have full controll.

Thanks

da-ken.

I think you can also change it from One-X Portal so i would try that first.

Avaya have confirmed this as a fault.

Using port :7071 to access, setting > system > Network

After pressing the save button, the webpage is not poping a window advising that a new certificate will be generated.

this appears to not do ip address changes as well.

We are rebuilding the server to work round the issue.

Jani - thats a different things.

I have discovered this issue today on a 9.1.9 server editon.

I have onex.company.com in three places

IPO - Voip Tab
One-x - Presence Server
Server Edition (7071) - Hostname

You can change the first two without issue but the last one does as daken says.

Annoyingly found this out as customer has changed the domain he wants to use and so I need to change this and get it relicenced before it goes live on Saturday!!

Found out from an in house system that 9.1.7 doesn't appear to be affected, so am going to try and download the SE to 9.1.7 before doing a rebuild.
