What implications are there (if any) of changing the password for an account which has Permissions Admin rights, and was used for adding an Exchange 5.5 server to a new site in an existing organisation?

Thanks in advance.

you need only be concerned with the Service Account and whatever account starts the actual exchange services (which should be the same, but sometimes it's not).

Actually, it was the Service Account I was thinking about. The reason for my question is that we did carry out such a password change and the server which uses this account as it's Service Account (also working as a Notes-Exchange connector) stopped receiving mail across the site connectors. The way round it was to change the password back. We do need to change the password though, as a matter of security.

I think that may well be the answer we are looking for. Thanks a lot.
