Hi there!
We have an IIS Server with SharePoint Portal Server running in our compamy.
The users connecting to our portal are Members of our Domain.
Now we would like to give the users the possibility to change theyr password for the platform on the platform itself, via a Web based interface.
Thanks, Lucas

Hi JFBouchard,

Wow, that seems to be the right way, thanks alot for posting the link.
I opend the one for IIS 6.0, and tried to apply it. Seemed to work, but doesnt:
I have set up this virtual directory on two WebSites of the IIS Server, both wont work:

1. The SharePoint WebSite: When I add the Virtual Directory to a WebSite which has SharePoint already set up with, then I'm getting the error that I'm not alowed to see this page ( because it is forbidden by Administrator... I'm going to SharePoint Administration and remove asp from the forbidden list. Then it says "Page cannot be found".

2. A normal WebSite: I have set up a normal Website on IIS for this Virtual Directory. There, it doesnt work aswell, same problem as above. But if i put some xyz.asp inside this Website, it doesnt load it, only html files, even if it does load aspx files. Where can I add asp to be a part of a WebSite in IIS? Strange that aspx works and asp doesnt..

Thanks for your time!

Hi, if .aspx files works and .asp doesn't you may want to verify your application mapping for .asp files.

Web site, properties, home directory, configuration, mappings.
Verify that .asp is defined and points to c:\windows\system32\inetsrv\asp.dll with GET, HEAD, POST, TRACE for methods. If it's not present, create it.

I've seen a bug in IIS 5 that may be still occuring in IIS 6: the asp.dll file is not installed as part of the IIS setup (seems weird I know but I've actually seen this)

If the asp.dll file isn't present, just extract it from the sources, copy the file in %sys32%\inetsrv and regsvr32 it.

You can extract the file located in: ASP.DL_ in the I386 directory.

Hope this helps. Please let know if this resolve your issue

this doesnt seem to be the problem....
But it still only displays the content of html files. As soon as I put an asp file inside the folder and try to access it, I get a 404 error.

Is it possible that I have to activate asp somewhere else?

When I create a test.html file inside the Server Directory, i can get it via browser ( If i rename it to test.asp and open the page i get the following error:
HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found.

Any ideas?
