Hello,

I am mainly programmer, but my company need to move windows 2003 server from domain to standalone. Could any body know this movement procedure. I really appreciate that. I need step by step instructions. Please help. Thanks

Okay Nagma you will need to clarify, is this server a Domain controller that you want to demote to a member server, or is it a server that is part of an existing domain that you want to place in workgroup mode

If it's a domain controller, then yes, dcpromo. If it's simply a member server, then right click on "My Computer", go to Properties, Name, and change it to a workgroup instead of a domain.

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.

Thanks everybody for quick response. It is a member server, part of existing domain. So I just have to do the steps:

My Computer --> Properties --> Name, and change it to a workgroup instead of a domain.

That's all.

That's all, then reboot and it'll be stand alone.
