Customer has a MICS with a Call Pilot 100. Customer's voicemail fried, and they purchased a CP100 v 2.1(matches old CP100) from the web before calling me. Upon arrival I found the digit length to be 4 digits long. I installed the new CP100, booted it up, and found the digit length to be 3 digits. According to the manual, one simply powers the CP100 off and back on to change digit length to match the KSU DN length. It doesn't happen.

Do I need to perform a REINSTALL? I saw this in FAQS, but it didn't say which voicemails the procedure applies to. Or, is ther another procedure for changing the CP100 from 3 digits to 4 digits ?

Thanks in advance.

You need to perform a reinstall. That is the only way to change the DN length of a Call Pilot or Flash VM

or change length of dn on norstar

The extensions are 29xx. Will the Call Pilot copy this range of digits automatically when reinstalling, or will I have to enter a number ( i.e., 4) when reinstalling?

Thanks

it will aquire dn length from norstar on the config
