Is there a way to change display settings before the computer boots to windows? I changed the settings and now all I got is black screen and I can't see to change it back. I can't even get to the safe mode.

press f8 until you get the initial screen and then press V for vga screen.. then let it install and then reinstall /update your display adpater

Safe Mode would normally work, is this some type of dual monitor setup?

This is a layman's version of Q307545 in simple language.

You could try using a combination of the Recovery Console or similar to swap the Boot.ini and see if you can boot to Safe Mode via that.

The /basevideo switch forces the system into standard 640x480 16-color VGA mode
