Hi

I have set a default chart in Excel but now when I try to setup an alternative default the option isn't there to do so.

How do I reset the default chart?

With a chart activated do menu command Chart/Chart Type, and click the Custom Types tab, and press the User-Defined radio button.

You can then press the Add button to add your own custom chart, and then select that chart before pressing the "Set As Default Chart" button.

Cheers, Glenn.

for some reason it isn't giving me the option to add

Can you see the button? Is it there, but greyed out?

Glenn.

i cant see the button... I know it use to be there, but it isn't there anymore....

What version of Excel are you using?

I'm using Excel 2000.

Glenn.

i'm using 2002, as I said I saw it there previously, because I set a default chart already, but I need to change it

Sorry, don't have Excel 2002 to try this out on.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Glenn.
