Is it possible to customize the text for the Total row in a crosstab report? By default the word "Total" is display. I'd like to display "Total for " & {Orders.OrderDate}

Any ideas? paqguy - Shaun Beane

Yes, I know I can do that, but I want to add a field value as well. Usually, you can just drag a field into a text box, but on a crosstab, Crystal doesn't allow you to. paqguy - Shaun Beane

I see. There isn't a way to do what you are asking. There are some alternatives, but I don't know if they would meet your requirements:

a.) Make the date totals appear at the beginning of each date instead - Format Crosstab | Customize Style tab | click on {Orders.OrderDate} row | Check "Row totals on top" option in the Grid Options frame.

b.) Not knowing what's in the rest of your report, you might be able to get away with grouping by OrderDate and showing subtotals instead of using a crosstab.

c.) Replace your crosstab with a subreport that groups by OrderDate and display the date at the subreport's group footer.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I'll try building a manual crosstab and see how I make out.

Thanks! paqguy - Shaun Beane
