I have tried right clicking and looking in "help" but cannot figure out how to change my column names in Excel. I know I have received spreadsheets in the past from others where the column name has been changed. Can I do this in Excel 2000?

AFAIK, the only way to do this would be to use Tools>Options and untick column headers, then type your column names in the top row and make the background grey. There is no way of physically changing the column "Names"

bensam,

...and if you want to use them while you're in it, while in cell B1 choose Window, Freeze Panes.

...if you want a print out of it, then File, Page Setup, Sheet tab, Rows to Repeat at Top and choose row 1.

Hope this helps.
