Change a phone's group for VPN

I have a couple 5621 phones on IP 500 6.1.12 that never allow the opportunity to change the group(mute 47687#) to 876 for remote VPN. The phone I'm working on now works fine on the LAN. What can I do?

The option SET VPNPROC 2 is set in 46xxsettings.txt. Is that the option you're referencing?

check OPSTAT is remed out as in eg ## OPSTAT 100

then try

The updated settings in my 46xxsettings.txt file are
SET PROCSTAT 0
SET VPNPROC
##SET OPSTAT 111

I dont see an option to enable the VPN in the phone options nor does a phone accept mute 47687#

no luck. set SET PROCSTAT " " and tried SET PROCSTAT ""
The phone still doesn't let me change the group

Get a fresch 46xxsettings.txt from the admin cd.
Put it on a fileserver.
Do a mute "clear" on the phone.
Then when it reboots it will pull the fresh clean 46xxsettings.txt file.
Then it should work fine.
